Christmas Market in Transylvania

Cisnadioara village is only 10 kilometres from Sibiu, European City of Culture 2007 and Old Saxon Capital of Transylvania. Heralded by many to be the prettiest town in the old Austro-Hungarian Empire, Sibiu is now home to many cafes, bistros, pubs, clubs and good restaurants. Often referred to as a little Prague, Sibiu has three main squares, the largest hosting a traditional Saxon Christmas Market and Ice Skating Rink. Enjoy hot wine as you wander between the craft stalls or pause to watch children gliding across the glittering ice.
Christmas in Cisnadioara truly is Magical! Most of the dwellings still use wood for fuel. The smell of the wood smoke and pine forests on a crisp winters night is wonderful. There is very little light pollution and the snow glittering in the moonlight as you go for a night-time stroll is beautiful.

Price includes meet greet and return Sibiu airport transfers, en-suite accommodation, all transport for daily excursions, guides/interpreters , all meals both in-house and restaurants, local wine, beer and soft drinks with meals.

Please note flights, personal toiletries, café coffees, snacks and ‘pub’ drinks are not included.
